Got this for my 3 year old son as it looks just like my truck. hood hinge has broken on one side, and it's just not a very durable toy for the price. But, it's a big red truck like daddy's, so he has fun with it every now and then. kinda recommend it, kinda not.

Bought this for my 4 year old. He saw Twister on TV and now loves to pretend to be a storm chaser. He wanted a pickup truck to put his "dorothy" in. The plastic is a bit thin and flimsy and the driver and passenger doors do not open (although the lift gate does). The hood only opens a bit - but not enough to really see in or be able to pretend to "fix" it. Luckily I got him another one as well - a die cast one where everything opens. We'll see which one lasts.

I was really amazed with the horn honking and the lights flashing, then you can rev up the engine. I would recommend this for any kid of any age.

The truck is what you expect in appearance; very accurate in its representation of the real Silverado model.
The one we have only has parking lights that light up; not the headlights. I guess I figured that there would be a little more flash in that area.
The tailgate opening is great and it has a tongue to pull the kid's trailers; but, the hood barely opens enough to see in.
It is nice that the kids can fit their figures in the seats and the steering wheel turns the front wheels.
I think someone buying would be satisfied; just not overly impressed. It's a good durable product for my 4 and 2 year old boys.
