I am not a rider, but I really like this boot. I'm a thirty-something and have been searching for an affordable black boot with the following criteria: durable construction that will last, a low heel (I have a bad back), water-and snow-resistant, will keep my feet warm, attractive. This boot satisfies all of those criteria and looks very nice with pants. The leather is good quality. Virtually no break-in period. I wear them with a mid-weight hiking sock (SmartWool) and that works wonderfully in the winter. Roomy in the toe. I have a slightly smaller than average build, and the elastic on the top of the boot allows the boot to fit closely but not too tight. I stand for work, and these are comfortable. Good buy!
