3Disappointed  Dec 30, 2009 By nctmac "Nancy"
The Hauler is a durable toy, however, it is a little disappointing. The ramp on the truck used to "load" the car in (or unload) is a bother because in order to close the ramp, you have to move the car. To me, moving the car out of the truck to close the ramp defeats the purpose of the child driving the car up the ramp.

Both sides of the hauler open up by pulling from the bottom. The inside floor slides out to the left. There are two little plastic tools attached to the floor & two tires. Only one car fits in the hauler. You will have to purchase the Nitroaide car seperately.

2A Truckload of Frustration  Mar 21, 2011 By Common Sense Mom
My 3 1/2 year old is continually frustrated by this truck. The truck has a slide out platform and a drop down ramp inside. The ramp cannot flip down unless the platform is pulled out fully and clicked into place. Clicking the platform into place requires two hands and adult dexterity. This creates a WORLD OF FRUSTRATION for my son who wants the ramp to pull down easily so he can drive his cars up into the truck.

The designers need to TEST THIS TOY ON KIDS WHO ARE ATTRACTED TO DISNEY PIXAR CARS MERCHANDISE!

Also, the box shows a matching race car inside the truck hauler. My son and I both expected to open the truck to find the race car on the box inside the truck. The marketing group who designed the box needs to stand in a busy toy aisle with an excited 3 year old and see if they notice the microscopic fine print "vehicle sold separately" that they place next to the extra large "LOAD CAR INSIDE!!!!". Yes, the fine print covers the legal bases but fails in practicality. What a dirty trick!

Finally, the toy is way overpriced for what it is. $17 bucks for this thing???

We will not be adding to this collection. Bad design, poor value and dirty marketing. No thanks Disney.

5My son loves it...however I thought it would be bigger!  Aug 07, 2010 By R. Williams
I didn't look for the dimensions before I purchased, so more my fault than anything. When I opened the package and saw how small it was I was a bit shocked...just imagined a bigger vehicle.

My son, however, loves it. First off, he is really into 18-wheelers, so this toy made his day. One problem I have with it besides the size is the fact that the tractor and trailer are not permenently attached. On the one hand, I could see that posing a problem, but my two-year-old son makes me put the trailer on the tractor every few minutes. I was finally able to get hiim to calm down enough to learn to do it for himself, but it was annoying for half the day. However, the fact that they aren't attached allows for more imagination for him and avoids the problem of the two pieces possibly being broken apart permenently, so I get the design decision...just a quirk that annoyed at first. Also, I thought I read that the trailer contained a toy car on the package...I was mistaken -- no car inside. You must provide that yourself!!

To give an idea of the size...the trailer can hold a regular Hot Wheels sized vehicle.

Anyway, he loves it...so, I do too!

5Good buy.  Jul 29, 2010 By elfstone326
This hauler is a good buy. It's made well and my son is very pleased with it. It's exactly the same hauler as Strip Weathers's and Chick Hicks's haulers, just colored differently. I would recommend it.
