great horse- high qualilty and durable! Dec 30, 2011

This horse is actually quite heavy and not made of brittle plastic like the Breyer ones and other manufacturers (one of my daughters got a Breyer one, too and a leg was broken off by a friend about 10 minutes after she received it!). These horses are covered in a rubberish-ish material and their legs bend from the "knees" down so not only are they really durable, they can also be posed!
I'm so happy I went with these!!

We bought this horse for our five-year-old daughter for Christmas and it is perfect! I was a bit hesitant, trying to decide the best horses and riders for her from the different products and reviews. I am glad we chose this one because what others found as a problem (the horses are heavy ~ not too heavy, but good quality heavy) is actually a plus to us. The quality is obvious and it seems that this product will be durable and she has enjoyed it all day long today! Peices are small, so keep that in mind (the comb & carrot), but very pleased with this and will get her the rest of the collection as time goes on.
