A must have for all Trisha Yearwood fans, or country fans. Nov 24, 1998 WOW! If you are a Trisha Yearwood fan, then this is a must-have. Thrilling live performances of songs from Trisha's first three albums plus two bonus songs. Trisha talks between songs about life, her career, and singers that she admires. this video is hard to get, so snap it up while you can. If you don't, you'll regret it. Its a great investment.

Nice collection of songs! Oct 17, 2001

THE SONG REMEMBERS WHEN is not quite as enjoyable as previous releases, but there are songs that make listening fun. Gosh, the title song is just soooo beautiful! "If I Ain't Got You," "One In A Row" written by Willie Nelson, and the touching Matraca Berg tune, "Lying To The Moon" are also great songs. And then there are the singles... I really found this CD harder to get into than prior releases, though it is a pleasant collection to listen to.

Review for Trisha Yearwood May 02, 2002 I purchased this video a couple of years ago. This VHS tape includes live performances from her first three albums as well as footage of her discussing songs that had meaning to her. If you are a Trisha Yearwood fan then this is a must own!

Laid Back Apr 10, 2009
By Running in Place The Song Remembers When is another classy release from adult contemporary/country singer Trisha Yearwood. She has a powerful and versatile voice that sounds equally convincing on sentimental ballads and more soulful numbers. The title track falls into the former category. You can tell Trisha was heavily invested in the lyrics based on her passionate vocal performance. As with all of Trisha's records, the harmonies are a highlight. Willie Nelson guests on "Hard Promises to Keep" and his own "One in a Row." Other great songs include "I Don't Fall in Love So Easy" and the mysterious "Mr. Radio." 4 Stars.

One to remember Jun 12, 2004

Trisha's third album THE SONG REMEMBERS WHEN finds the singer going for a more contemporary country sound. Her strength has always been ballads, she does well with any material she sinks her teeth into, but on her ballads you really get to feel what she's saying, and it comes from the heart. The title track has to be one of her most memorable songs, a song about love lost and remembering it. She does a good version of her idol Linda Ronstadt's "Mr. Radio", and Rodney Crowell's "I Don't Fall In Love So Easy". Other highlights include "Better Your Heart Than Mine", "One In A Row" and the closing "Lying to The Moon". Only a real singer can deliver the image from the heart of the song. Yearwood here is the heart of the song itself.
