I started playing a Signet when I was very young and could never quite master complicated chords or intricate picking patterns because of the bridge construction. I bought the Takamine at the advice of a friend who also has one and it is a dream come true. Had I started out on this guitar I may have made more of a go with my playing. It has a pleasant sound and it is relatively easy on the fingers. I would recommend this for anyone who is staring out because of the price point and the construction of the piece. Obviously there are models out there with a more robust sound but this guitar is a good one to get started with.

I just got my Takamine in the mail today, was a day beyond the estimated shipping..But hey, it's an estimate right.
No complaints, it looks great and most importantly it sounds better than I expected. It was strung up and almost in tune surprisingly. The built in tuner is pretty cool, The sustain is friggin nice. Definitely a great guitar for the price I say. I even have somewhat of a "thumbprint" pattern on the wood grain which I really like...Cause it's undeniably my guitar from the looks...Maybe someone would find something like that un-appealing...though i think it gives some good character to it.
