Love- the- guitar from Michigan Jan 14, 2011
By LINH I have owned over the past 40 years many good guitars, including acoustic, electric, classical and hollow body but 12 strings guitar. I wasn't impressed watching people playing this guitar over the internet. It sounded very thin. However this guitar has numerous good reviews so I bought it. This is a very beautiful guitar. Crafmanship is neat. No spilling glue anywhere. Set up is just right. Excellent playability. I love the sustain and the chorus-like sound of this guitar. It happend to me playing a cord and let it ringing for very long time and enjoyed the bell like sound. Thingking of a sip of tasty wine or coffee. The tuner is very helpful. Amplified sound is excellent. Good string balance. just set it flat EQ. With resonable volume, it sounds very similar to the unamplified sound but louder. This guitar deserves a good case so I bought the SKB 20. Perfect fit. Yahoo! I wonder why you have to pay more for a "better guitar". Thank you all for the honest reviews that help me to acquire this guitar. BTW, my C132S I bought 1986 keeps sounding faithfully over these years. I might be biased. Very Fine to Superb Aug 20, 2010
By Guitar Lover I have owned this guitar for five years. It sounds very fine, unamplified, and as superb when amplified through a Marshall AS50R. At $750 retail, this guitar may seem pricey to some players, but you get what you pay for, and with this instrument, you will be getting a jumbo acoustic-electric with a solid top and with excellent electronics--and to me that rounds out to be a good value. I can't say a thing that is bad about this instrument. I give it five stars because I think it earns it. Buy it and enjoy it. By the way--Takamine also manufactures a six string version of this guitar, which I also own. They are my favorite guitars, and I have owned many instruments. If you like the twelve string and need a six string--then try out the twin six string at a guitar shop...and then buy it on Amazon.com in order to save alot of money. Good luck, and keep on playing!

Beautiful guitar, sounds great Apr 23, 2010
By Sabrina Scarborough I've been playing a 12 string for years now. I'm an ovation player. Played a custom legend. But I needed a change. Picked this Takamine up at Amazon $100 cheaper than any music store. It's absolutely gorgeous. And it sounds amazing. Holds the tuning nice. Just tweak it before starting to play and it stays in tune. As a performing musician, this is great. Tune at the beginning of a set and it'll stay tuned. Action is low. May actually get it raised a bit. Love this guitar. Haven't picked up an ovation since this came in.

Takamine Yes Nov 25, 2010
By Boz Beautiful looking and sounding guitar
Nothing comes close for the money
Comes with the built-in tuner
which is a must have for any 12 string
Originally made in Japan - mine was made in Korea
As it is a large body guitar it wont fit a standard case
Great sound unplugged, and incredible sound plugged in
Cant say enough how much I enjoy the guitar
Go for it !
