5sweet  Dec 17, 2008 By john of art "john of art"
I am just learning guitar but, so experienced friends suggested the G340. Six months later i can play a few tunes and thought I was ready to get a more expensive guitar. I could not find one under $1000.00 that sounded better. I looked for about 2 weeks and for my ear it's not out there. For 300.00 or less this is hard to beat in sound and the quality of the material.
This made me appreciate my guitar and it's a keeper. Even friends who play well are amazed at how this guitar sound and all agree it's a great deal. I keep it tuned and it sounds as good as my ears can hear.

5I love it.  Feb 01, 2011 By Justin D
I have been playing guitar for 5 years now and this is the best guitar I could find for the price. It has a beautiful sound and the structure is sturdy. The finish is flawless and the abalone (shiny colored shell material) is amazing. The gold tuning keys are a nice touch too and actually are what prompted me to write this. Last night I leaped into my bed excited to sleep when there was a sudden intense pain on my left eyebrow. I immediately grabbed my head and when I pulled my hand away there was blood all over it. My eyebrow immediately became swollen just like when a boxer gets punched. It turns out my guitar was laying in my bed when I leaped and my eyebrow thought the D string's tuning key would be a comfy place to land. I picked the guitar up and checked to see if it had come out of tune from the force of my eyebrow gouging a hole in itself and it was still perfectly in tune. Get this guitar. Get the cutaway version though so you can reach all of the frets. And don't leave it in your bed like me.

5Excellent Product Excellent Service  Sep 10, 2011 By nikhil barua
I'm an intermediate player and own a Martin as well, this guitar rocks in terms of looks and playability. The sound is good too, works well for both rhythm and finger picking.
And for the price point i dont think you'd get a better guitar. Ticks all the boxes. Came in excellent shape and the action was perfect right from the get go. Definitely a guitar you can carry around, not be worried about it yet thoroughly enjoy playing it

5Great guitar! Great price!  Jan 18, 2012 By Mike A.
I was shopping around for a new acoustic for months, but I didn't want to spend alot of money. I looked at Yamaha, Fender and Epiphone before I decided to get a Takamine. My best friend ownes a Takamine and I love the way his guitar plays. I saw this guitar and saw the price ($181.29). Everyone else wanted $250.00 so I couldn't pass this deal. Not only was it less than $200.00, it's a Takamine, a well known and reliable brand. The guitar arrived in 3 days and it wasn't damaged at all. I tuned it up and started strumming away. The tone of this guitar is great! Not too bright. The action felt perfect for my hand and the the strings are good as well. This guitar came with D'Addario strings. The only rhing that I am going to change on this guitar are the bridge pins. I went ahead and bought some ebony pins so that I can warm up this guitar a bit more.
